Pinxto or Pincho = Spanish for “ Spike”
We have always loved tapas and on a recent trip to Spain we discovered (and loved!) a new and delicious take on it! It goes great with Cava (Champagne, Prosecco etc!), beer or cocktails so it really is a perfect party food!
It looks beautiful lined up on boards across the front of our van and will create a real buzz at your party! So what exactly is it?…
“ typically eaten in bars, traditional in northern Spain and especially popular in the Basque country, Pinxto are usually eaten in bars or taverns as a small snack while hanging out with friends or relatives; thus, they have a strong socializing component, and in the Basque country they are usually regarded as a cornerstone of local culture and society. They are related to tapas, the main difference being that pinchos are usually ‘spiked’ with a skewer or toothpick, often to a piece of bread. They are served in individual portions and always ordered and paid for independently from the drinks.”
It’ s a casual, fun and tasty way to eat, you get to try numerous different exciting mini dishes and we charge £1 - £1.50 per Pintxo so you can have full and simple control of your budget when ordering!
Using our own experience and our own ideas we have come up with around 50 (and the list keeps growing!) individual Pintxo which we can offer from our van to add an exciting twist to your party.
